Moonlit Burgers

Moonlit Burgers is a Pittsburgh-based restaurant known for its LA-style smash burgers. They first started as a pop-up in 2020, offering their burgers at various locations, before opening a brick-and-mortar location in Dormont. A second location is now open at Duquesne University. Moonlit Burgers is popular for its classic smash burger, which features two patties, American cheese, vidalia onion, pickles, and Moon sauce on a Martin’s potato roll.

Smash Burgers: The core of Moonlit Burgers’ menu is their smash burgers, which are made by pressing thin patties onto a hot grill to create a crispy edge.

Beyond the classic smash burger, they offer other options like a Half Moon Burger (single patty), Bacon Double Cheeseburger, and a Veggie Burger. They also have chicken sandwiches, tenders, fries, and milkshakes.

The second Moonlit Burgers location is at Duquesne University, in partnership with the university and Parkhurst Dining. The partnership with Duquesne allows Moonlit Burgers to serve students, faculty, and the surrounding community.
Pop-up Origins: Moonlit Burgers started as a pop-up, offering their smash burgers at different locations around Pittsburgh, including Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream and The Vandal.
